Congratulations on the purchase of your I look forward to working with you. Please refer to the following information and instructions before sending me your work: SCRIPT PREPARATION Be sure there's a title page with your name and contact info. Number the pages. Print on one side of the page only. Omit the covers and brads you would use for submission to producers or agents. If you're working with me for the first time, be sure to enclose a completed SUBMISSION FORM. SENDING YOUR MATERIAL Please put your name, the project title and page numbers on everything you send me. Emailed treatments should be Word, Final Draft, Movie Magic Screenwriter, or .pdf documents; emailed scripts must be properly formatted and sent as Final Draft, Movie Magic Screenwriter, or .pdf files. Never put anything you want me to read (other than messages) in the body of an email. Always attach any documents as Word files. Checks, submission forms and hard copies of your work should be mailed or FedExed to me at:
Emailed Messages and documents should be sent to MichaelHauge@ScreenplayMastery.com PAYMENT Payment should be by check or money order payable to Michael Hauge. Payment by credit card can be arranged, and for the larger packages we can work out a monthly payment plan. Please email or phone me to discuss what arrangement will work best for you. Clients outside of the US must pay by credit card, or wire the money directly to my bank account in US dollars, unless you can pay by check drawn on a US bank. Please email me for details. The cost of unused hours is always refundable. If you purchase a package and choose not to use all of the hours, the refund is calculated based on the cost of the hours you've already used. So if you buy a 24-hour package for $3,500, but you only use 12 hours (the equivalent of a $2,100 package), you'll receive a refund of $1,400. SCHEDULING The turnaround time for scheduling a coaching session is usually less than two weeks. Whenever you're ready for a coaching session, email me a list of all the dates and times you're available between 11AM and 7PM Pacific time, Monday through Friday, for the three weeks following the date you send the email. Allow up to three hours for our first session, and up to two hours for every session after that (except for pitch coaching). Whenever you email me your availability for a session, please list all the times for my time zone (PDT). I have clients in about 8 different time zones around the world, and we run the risk of mixing up our meeting time if I have to do the calculations. Whevever you email me, please include whatever email(s) of mine you're replying to , beneath the new message you're emailing to me. (You can easily instruct your email program to do this automatically.) That way I'll know what times I requested, or what questions you're replying to. This is the professional way to reply to any emails you receive from anyone -- and is critical when you begin marketing your screenplay. You can reduce the turnaround time even more if you know the date you will be sending your script or outline. As soon as you can commit to a specific date that you'll send me your work, email me with your availability for the three weeks following that date, and I'll schedule the session in advance. Give me as many choices for scheduling our session as possible. The more options I have, the sooner I can schedule our session. I always schedule the earliest possible time for us to meet or speak. Be sure to include the number where I should call you for our session. BACK UP TIMES AND CANCELLATION POLICY I always schedule a backup time, so if I have to postpone, our delay will only be a few days. Please keep this backup time open until our session is completed, to allow for any last minute changes. (This rarely happens, but it's good to have, just in case.) The backup time is for unforeseen delays in my schedule, but I'm afraid it doesn't work both ways. I often double book my backup times; otherwise I'd only be available half the time. In other words, if you have to cancel, I can't guarantee the backup time will still be available. So any cancellation on your part might delay us an additional week or two. If you need to cancel your session, please notify me by phone or email at least 24 hours in advance. If you fail to notify me or simply don't show up for your session, you will be charged your hourly rate for one hour of my time. THE SESSION I will phone you at our scheduled time, at the contact number on your submission form, unless you tell me otherwise. I will pay for the call, no matter where you are. I'll record all our sessions, and within one day will email you the digital recordings. (To download the free program for listening to the recordings on your computer, please click here.) If I've made margin notes on any of your script pages, I'll fax or scan and email those to you after the session. And remember, if you have any questions about your coaching, or if you ever feel stuck, blocked, discouraged, or confused, email me immediately, or call me at 818-995-4209. |
